The IPS-14 Series is Inovenso Inc.'s independent dual-channel syringe pump platform. Unlike the synchronized IPS-13, the IPS-14 drives each channel with its own independent motor — meaning each channel can run a completely different flow rate, syringe size, volume, and direction at the same time. With a flow range of 17.89 pL/min to 121.51 mL/min per channel and compatibility with glass, plastic, and steel syringes from 0.5 µL to 140 mL, the IPS-14 is the most versatile dual-channel solution in the IPS lineup.

IPS-13 vs IPS-14: What's the Difference?

Both are dual-channel syringe pumps — but the control architecture is fundamentally different. Choose based on whether your channels need to be linked or independent.

IPS-13 Synchronized Dual Channel

Both channels are driven by a single shared motor. The flow ratio between channels is fixed by syringe diameter — both channels always move together at the same pace. Ideal for co-axial electrospinning, gradient mixing, and any protocol where two streams must remain proportionally linked.

IPS-14 Independent Dual Channel

Each channel has its own independent motor. You can run Channel A at 5 µL/min with a 1 mL syringe while Channel B runs at 2 mL/min with a 20 mL syringe — entirely different fluids, rates, and volumes simultaneously. The most flexible dual-channel configuration available.

Ideal for parallel reagent delivery at different rates, comparative dosing studies, multi-fluid microfluidic setups, and any protocol where two streams need independent control. Each channel has its own stepper motor and microcontroller logic, so adjusting one channel has zero effect on the other. Flow rate is adjustable in real time on each channel without stopping.

Adds independent bidirectional flow. Each channel can infuse or withdraw at its own rate — including opposite directions simultaneously on the two channels.

The IPS-14R enables the most advanced independent dual-stream configurations: Channel A infusing while Channel B withdraws, two-channel sampling loops, independent microdialysis on two sites, or any protocol requiring per-channel direction control. Withdrawal operates with the same stepper motor precision as infusion on each channel. Slightly wider at W211mm to accommodate the dual-direction mechanism.
